The author is relating some clarity to some objectors to his theory of natural law, design, and nature, and tells of the amusing story about Friedrich saying he can create a man…

“I suppose you know the story about Friedrich Nietzsche and the dust of the earth…Nietzsche says to God, ‘I too can create a man.’ God says to Nietzsche, ‘Try.’ Nietzsche takes a fistful of dust and begins to mold it. God says, ‘Disqualified. Get your own dust.”

We can declare that we are in charge of our own reality, that we can choose any god to worship, that we can decide what is right and wrong. But God alone, the God of the Bible, is the true and living God (Jeremiah 10:10). The true and living God says that our main job is to love Him with all our heart, might, mind, and soul (Deuteronomy 6:5). Jesus made a point to reiterate this point in His ministry (Mark 12:30). It is true. God is Creator and is inherently worthy of our full worship and honor.
